The research group has expertise in modelling coupled vibroacoustic system and conducting experimental measurements to characterise the generation of sound from vibrating structures. The group has conducted research projects to investigate methods of attenuating vibration and noise generation from structures.
Examples of research projects include:
- Vibro-acoustics of the payload fairing of rocket launch vehicles.
- Transmission loss of inflatable structures.
- Improvement of low frequency transmission loss of panels.
